Angan Foundation is a socio-cultural organisation registered registered under section 60 and Rule 69, IV-52/2016, which has been founded with the aim to explore art, culture and heritage of India. We are also striving to identify the social issues and dealing with it to culturally attune the society. Regular classes of Odissi Dance by Sumedha Sengupta, disciple of Guru Giri Dhari Nayak and Tabla classes by Sabyasachi Sengupta, tabla exponent and disciple of Late Guru Gyan Prakash Ghosh are conducted by the foundation. Workshops, festivals, seminars, art camps, documentary and films are the mediums through which we aspire to promote Indian art and culture. 

OBJECTIVES OF THE TRUST:

 

  • To create unity, brotherhood amongst the General Public.

 

  • To promote welfare, social, cultural, charitable, health, education, humanitarian and relief activities that will project, safeguard, improve the quality of poor’s and raise the standard of human life , irrespective of caste, color, sex or religion.

 

  • To function as a Non-communal Trust and as a secular organization.

 

  • To promote and integrate all the diverse cultures prevailing in India by organizing various cultural program like organizing Classical/Folk & Tribal/Contemporary/Creative Dance, Music, Art, Theatre, Musical Instruments’, film, serials, workshops and related shows, Translation of various literary manuscripts and plays into various Indian and foreign languages in order to promote Indian culture.

 

  • To promote cultural activities, competitions, exhibitions, seminar, workshops, etc. in different avenues of art and culture including, vocal music, Instrumental Music, Dance, Drama, Paintings, sculptures, film, serials (mass communication) and other performing arts.

 

  • To establish and develop institutions for the physically challenged and mentally reared persons and to provide them cultural education & therapy.

 

  • To give awards and recognition to extremely talented artists in the field of performing arts & literature.

 

  • To provide free ships and educational and cultural help such as school uniforms, schoolbooks, instruments, note books and stationery to the needy and deserving students without making distinction of caste and creed.

 

  • To promote and establish institute for research, study and training in the field of art and craft.

 

  • To subscribe or give donation, receive grants, donation, fee etc. financially or otherwise, to/from such other societies, agencies, associations or institutions, who are working in the area of arts, literature and folklore or are involved in activities which tend to support or aid/advance the aims and objectives of the society.

 

  • To open branches wherever considered expedient for the promotion of its objectives.

 

  • All incomes, earning movable properties of the trust shall be utilized and applied towards the promotion of its aims and objectives only as set forth in the memorandum of trust and no profit or part of the trust shall be paid or transferred, directly or indirectly by the way of dividends, bonus, profit or in any manner whatsoever, to the members of the society or to any other person. No member of the trust shall have any personal claim on any moveable or immovable properties of the trust or make any profits, whatsoever by virtue of this membership.

 

  • And, it is hereby declared that the interpretation of the clause, the power conferred on the trust by any paragraph shall not be restricted by reference to any other paragraphs or to the name of the society or by juxtaposition, this clause and every paragraph hereof shall be considered in such a way as to widen them and not restrict the power of the trust.

 

  • To grant scholarships or provide financial aid and training for social enlistment of depressed class, scheduled castes, scheduled tribes, minorities, orphans, widows, children, sex workers etc. to make them self sufficient in their education and career by providing them exposures to the least technology and computers.

 

  • To translate, print, publish, circulate and distribute appropriate materials or distribution of useful knowledge through some magazines, books, bulletins, pamphlets or other printing mode for the development and promotion, benefit and advancement of performing arts.

 

  • To receive any grant, donations, fees, support and assistance in any form for the objectives of the trust.

 

  • To frame by-laws and rules and regulations for the conduct of the business of the trust and its officers and employees.

 

  • To undertake, carry out promote and sponsor rural development including any program for promoting the social welfare of or the uplift of public in any area and to Incur any expenditure on any program of rural development and to assist execution and program thereof either directly or through any independent agency, or in any other manner as provided under section 35-CC and 35 CCA of the income tax act, 1961.

 

  •  To provide relief to the people who are affected by natural calamities.

 

  •  To try to keep area clean. To keep a balance in environment and adopt the gardens and plantations. To maintain and preserve historical, cultural temples and monuments and to arrange seminars and visitors or picnics at such places for child. To try and improve the standard of the culture and customs which is vanishing from society day by day.

 

  • To provide ancillary charitable services to the general public and needy, irrespective of caste, creed, race, color, sex or religion.

 

  • To safeguard and preserve arts, language, birds, animals, forests, rivers, medicinal plants of the region. To establish, manage, maintain, run, temporary/permanent and/or mobile centers , archives, museum, art gallery, auditorium, cultural complex, indigenous architect and sculpture, center of education in the field of art, film, mass media, print media, literacy, self awareness development, self employment, conservation of Natural resources, Optimum utilization of water, aforestation and environment. To appoint sub-committees to plan and implement programs beneficial to a particular weaker section of society like woman, children, un-employed youths, aged and physically challenged persons.

 

  • To provide first aid in medical and surgical emergencies. To conduct first aid classes, grant medical help to the poor and deserving person during epidemic, famine, flood, earthquake or any unforeseen calamity or war or warlike operation, riots, civil commotion and similar occurrences, or any other time of need.

 

  • To co-operate, promote and render assistance to organizations, institutions having similar object and purpose, for better and mutual comprehension and help them in our/their growth and stability.
